Yesterday, we went to Sea World! It was so fun! I got to see all kinds of animals perform, including sea lions (they were the most hilarious XD), orcas, and dolphins. I also rode on a rollercoaster ride. .... aaand I got tanned and slightly sunburnt..... =[

Ah gotta catch up on the blogging here. I'm not back in Vancouver yet though. So after the last blog (which was about the golden gate bridge) the next day we went to Universal Studios Hollywood. Once again, I've been there once before. This time it's to show my grandparents. I took a picture with Dora this time though XD ! (you know, dora the explorer) lol I'm going to show that picture to my little cousin and she is going to get soooo jelous >=P I also went on some rollercoaster rides with my dad, but none of them were all that thrilling because they all lasted such a short time. I looove rollercoasters!

Today, we drove to San Francisco and went to the Golden Gate Bridge. It was really cool (even though I've already been there once before... this trip is mainly to show my grandparents around)! I love the thrill of looking down at the ground from the bridge high high above, and the strong wind makes you feel like you're about to be blown off! Theres also the prison island that is near the bridge that I forgot the name of. It used to be a prison until I think the 1960's? It's pretty cool. It's like a fort on a tiny island. I love historical buildings like these. Then we went back to the car and I... slept........ so I don't know what happened in that time period. Oh yes, we also went to an open house in San Francisco! =D My mom wanted to see what the inside of the houses looked like here. It turned out that that house was built in 1912! Almost a hundred years old! The agent said during the time the last owners lived here, they didn't even have to paint the ceiling, or have any major problems. The ceilings don't even have a tiny crack in them, and to think it survived an earthquake that happened there in 1989 (I think)... wow...

I didn't know the hotel we stayed at had wifi yesterday, so I didn't blog. Yesterday was mainly travelling. We drove to Seattle, took the plane from there to Oakland, which is near San Francisco. Then we got to the hotel and went to sleep =D

We're leaving for San Francisco tomorrow morning... But I'm not that happy. I think I'd rather stay at home or play 21 with my friends. I don't like long trips, and this one is for almost 8 days =[

I managed to learn the beginning of a song on the piano, with the harmony too! I'm so proud of myself... I've always wanted to learn piano, I don't know how I ended up with violin. But good thing I'm going to start piano lessons soon anyways, because the ARCT thing for violin requires at least level 6 piano. But theres still a while... I'm not that far in violin yet.

I'm going on a trip with my family to San Diego next week! Or actually we're leaving this saturday. We're going to the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, and I think we are stopping at universal studios in San Fransisco too! I'm so excited! The only down side to this is that it's going to be hard to meet up for our English project...

Finally it's quiet around here...

Today my mom made me do a whole bunch of math, saying that I lack the basics. I'm using the chinese math books, because she said these chinese books are a whole lot detailed. She also said one of the reasons Sharon is good in math because she spent most of her elementary years in China -.- So now I have a whole lot of math homework for tomorrow. Well I guess I could consider it as something to do.

Aaah I got addicted to the piano! I printed out a sheet music of a song and tried to learn it myself today, and I've only figured out the melody part of it, but it's so fun! Piano seems so much more interesting than violin >.>

My cousins came over for a sleep over today... I wanted a peaceful and quiet spring break where I can just relax... but looks like that's not going to happen now...

Yesterday I spend about four hours at Sharon's house. The weird thing is, apparently I'm supposed to have been to her new house already (even her mom remembered that I went there before) but I don't even faintly remember o.O
Anyways. First, Sharon taught me how to play twinkle twinkle little star on the piano, which I spent about 5 minutes just to figure out the first line -__- (yes I know... but I'm planning to start learning piano soon). Then I tried playing her violin, which was, no offence, one of the worst quality violins I have ever seen =__= it didn't even have fine tuning, the bridge is kind of not centred, and the tuning pegs at the top of the violin didn't stay in place long enough to finish playing a song.... so basically about twenty minutes was spent on tuning it. And I can't believe how small her sister's violin is! It's like half the size of my violin, and it just looks like a toy or a minature!
Then we played monkey in the middle 8D Her sister was monkey for more than most of the time. We felt so sorry for her! She was just spinning around in circles while the ball was passed between us and it looked so hilarious =D

Yesterday, my parents took me to the apartment that we bought and are planning to move into next month. It looked pretty nice, and it's even closer to the school then my current place. Also, pets are allowed there! I've always wanted pets! I just hope my mom would agree to a hamster.

We were originally interested in an apartment in Richmond, but I persuaded my parents other wise, because Vancouver is waaay over due for an earthquake, and as soon as an earthquake hits Richmond is going bye bye.

Ahh I'm soo happy today! I got a principal's list certificate and a pre-IB acceptance letter =']... but my mood kind of got ruined after I got home and showed my mom... and she hardly reacted to it at all o.O she just said: hm... so you did get in after all Me:........ did you see the certificate?? Her: oh yes it's just a certificate for your straight A's right? Me:..................................

Oh well I'm proud of myself =D

Report cards tomorrow! I'm pretty sure I have straight A, according to the marks the teachers post up, but I'm not going to get my hopes up... I mean, it may be my first straight A since high school...

Well he was someone really inspirational. He was an african-american musician/singer, super talented, and he stood up for his race. He also had the will power stop doing drugs. So I'm going to take a random guess here... It connects to life in general?? Well he rose to the top of the music industry, and fell back down due to setbacks, and rose back up again... so... determination...? I think I'm not making sense here...

Oh yes and also, according to my dad, it will be about ten days for the radio active thing (or something) from the exploded nuclear plant reaches vancouver... scary thought... people exposed to that radiation, I'm pretty sure, get cancer.

Yesterday I was at my friend's house, and we were watching the news. All of the news was on Japan, and there were frequent updates on what was happening. Some info they gave was so shocking. Like, the earthquake moved the entire island of Japan 8 feet to the east. Also, the earthquake changed the spinning earth's axis by 4 inches... It's so sad... also the pictures of the earthquake's effects on the land was... indescribable

The only days I like in the week are day 2s and saturdays. Day 2s because I have PE. I like Saturday because that's my relatively free day. On Friday I have to spend hours doing theory after school because my violin/theory class is on Saturday morning. Sunday I have to spend my hours not at drawing class doing homework for Monday and Tuesday. Only on Saturdays after violin class in the morning I can sit back and relax.

Today, after the normal track and field practice, there is optional throwing practices, like discus, shot put, etc. but I decided not to go since I want to get home and finish my homework early. But when I got to the changing room, I realized Laurie was still at softball tryout and I'm sharing a locker with her! So then I decided to go throw some discus and wait for her to finish...
I like discus actually! It's fun, and it doesn't require as much arm strength as shot put or javelin, just more technique to get the discus spinning nicely.

And about that Ray Charels blog... what exactly are we supposed to talk about? What are we supposed to connect that movie to?

So many people are sick these days. Makes me feel lucky =D But then again the last time I felt lucky in a situation like this, the very next day I got a bad fever...

Pre-IB acceptance notices come out next week! And next week is the last week before spring break! Time goes by so fast... I wonder when report cards are out

All I could think about today was that really creepy movie we saw. I think it was called The Shining? Those two little girls were really freaky. The husband (Jack??) looks really scary too, and the wife's face is really hollow looking (like she's really skinny). The boy is really cute, but I just don't like his visions of those two girls...

I'm still worried about my french text book... I went to the lost and found but I don't know if the text book there is mine, so apparently I have to wait until the text book is returned to my teacher before she examines the book and returns it to its owner. What if I lost my book for good =[ ?

I think I'll make it my goal to join at least three sports next year. I've been pretty stubborn, sticking only to track and field year after year, but I think I should try out other sports too! Maybe I'll try for volleyball next year... maybe I won't be that bad =D

Yay I'm excited for tomorrow, which will be my first track practice of the season (since I didn't go last time). I love track and field =]... partly because running is the only thing I'm good at (I don't do that well with sports that require some sort of technique or ones that require upper body strength...).

I've finally started reading The Last Olympian. I hate to say it, but I put books before homework, and my mom's realized that. Now she's making me do all my homework before reading. Ahh the agony...
