Got home at 8 pm today (ballet) and started doing some of our MANY socials assignments

And I finally changed my language settings for google sites, but it's getting too late so I'm going to be editing and decorating everthing tomorrow.

Well I tried to go on google sites today and create my page, but it didn't really work out. My google sites is in the language of traditional chinese, and I am bad at reading traditional chinese so I haven't got much of an idea of what I am supposed to do. Either that or I am somewhat of a technology illiterate

I've realized that I've been forgetting to share my blog posts these days. Guess I still haven't gotten into that habit yet. I'm not sure how to do the scale on my map so I'm gonna ask people tomorrow. I am planning to finish colouring today. I hope I do!

I've been trying to think of a science fair topic. Everything I find is either way to complicated for my brain to understand, I don't have materials, or something way too easy and has been repeated millions of times. Maybe I can think of my own... hmm...



Oh yes I forgot to add.... Since it's flu season, almost everyone at school is sick. I was quite proud of my self for surviving last week (whick was when some of my sick friends kept on trying to *spread the sickness* by coughing and fanning their breathe) But today I caught the flu T^T I guess it's time for another week and a half of a stuffy nose (I HATE stuffy noses D=< )

Yesterday

Goshes I keep on forgetting to blog. Or maybe I was too tired yesterday. I spent half of my weekend time on lessons, as usual, and yesterday was my cousin's birthday, so I couldn't actually spend any time on homework. Now I am desperately trying to cram everything in to this pro-d day so I won't be so rushed tomorrow... I have to say I'm not doing that much of a good job. Got home at 8:10 pm because of ballet, and my map still has unfinished portions...

Well today my grandpa came, but he's staying over at my cousin's place to take care of my two little cousins. I made another attempt to finish my map again, but I just started to colour the land areas of my map, so I've still got a long way to go

Yesterday

Got too tired yesterday so my brain kind of shut down so I had absolutely no I idea of what to write. The best thing we did yesterday was make a DNA model out of candy, and we got to eat it afterwards! Well I'm not much of a fan of liquorish so the candy part wasn't that good... But the concept of it is cool. I mean we're eating DNA.... okay I think I'm talking nonsense here...

I still have to work on my ss map. I can't seem to locate some of the rivers. It's so frustrating because on my atlas it has so many black lines on it that I don't know if it's the rivers or something else. Also, rivers diverge, and I don't know if it's apart of the same river anymore, so I don't know whether to draw them or not... gotta do some more researching.
Today was early dismissal which was good, because it game me time to practice violin. These weeks I only kinda practice two-three times, so the teacher was ...............not happy.

Right now, I am eating moon cake, and writing this blog at the same time. Yay me. I don't know why but now a days my eyes just feel so droopy. Even right now I am typing everything with my eyes closed. Just. so. tired. Eh, don't bother typing anymore. Making so much typos. Gotta go to sleep...

Well I ran langara today, and boy are the people in my class fast! Last year, I am usually like fourth or fifth including the boys, but this year... well you get the point. I got 14.44. Meh... I guess it's okay but it is one minute slower than my best time last year... But also one minute faster than my slowest. But I should have improved!! I guess that's what happens after I've been a couch potato for two months =.=

Questions:

1) What is a theory and what is a philosophy?

A theory is some idea of how something works, and it has some actual facts to prove that this theory could be true. A philosophy is an idea created to help explain things, but it has no real evidence.

2) Will string theory become a religion?

If no real evidence of this theory will be discovered in a few decades, but yet the theory just makes so much sense, so some people believe it yet others think it as crazy, then I guess it could become a religion. I don't really think so, because string theory is all science, physics and mathematics, and I don't think I know a religion based on a scientific theory or idea.

3) What are five of the questions they are trying to answer in this scientific and intellectual pursuit?

How can we join general relativity with quantum mechanics?
Is string theory really the theory of everything?
How can we prove that string theory is real?
Are there really 11 dimensions and parallel universes?
Can we use string theory to explain what happened at the beginning of this universe?

Well my cousins left and I am finally at peace.
For our English project, in our group of five we were supposed to each create two discussion questions and paste it on a google doc. Each question had to be different. Well I had my questions for a long time, but never got the google doc. And then I found out from Sharon today at drawing class that they already got the google doc and all wrote down their questions except for me!! And she told me both of my questions are already taken... Wahh... They must of sent the google doc to the wrong email address....

Yesterday

Oops. I guess blogging slipped from my head yesterday. Basically my cousins came over from my uncle's house for a sleep over. Believe me I did not approve of it and I will explain why. As you know I have been busy (taking a visit to downtown five days a week) and we have a lot of homework to do. And if you put both of my cousins (they're brothers and sisters. the older one, the brother, is 1o, and the younger sister is 4) together you get trouble. From the moment they came till the end of yesterday, they have gotten into at least three big fights over microscopic things that could be solved with a tint of common sense. An example:

Daphne (smaller one): Hey brother, can you move your feet please? I need to get across (in chinese)
Davis (bigger one): No.
Daphne: But why? I asked nicely!
Davis: Just no.
Daphne: (getting angry): MOVE!!!
Davis: NUUUuuuuUUUU!! whatu gonna do about it?! (he loves annoying his sister)
Daphne: I will hit you and keel you!! MOVE YOU IDIOT
Davis: NO!
Daphne: IDIOT!! *kicks...punches............cries....*
Me: *face palm* Davis! Shut up! And Daphne, you can just walk around the table you know....

I actually found math fun today! We were doing some problem solving thing and that is actually something in math that I find fun. I just hate boring caculations.
In PE today almost everybody thought we would be running langara, but instead we're still playing football. I can't exactly catch or throw the football really well, but I like running with the ball to the end of the field (if I somehow miraculously catch it) and chasing after the person who has the ball. Well the problem with today, is that me and Laurie were in a team with some three random guys I don't know, and all they do mostly is pass to each other, even if me and Laurie were open. Plus we were against some really fast people. So it was pretty boring, because all I did was watch the quarterback on our team pass to some other dude and then watch the dude run until he gets "tackled" (you can't pass to anyone else). I was secretly wishing we were running Langara instead, but I think it's just me.

I really don't feel like there is anything to write today. My mind is like completely blank. All I know is I haven't been practicing violin at all this week. Too busy with homework and all the ballet. And to think it's only the start of this school year. Ah well I will survive this term.

Sense of directions....something I don't have

Today I bused/skytrained with a friend from ballet as usual. First, we got off ballet a bit late. Second, the bus we were supposed to take down to the skytrain didn't come for a long time so we had to walk down there. Third, my friend stopped for something at Starbucks. That all added up to making me late getting home. What the stupidest thing was, after I got off of the skytrain, I walked the other way T-T I walked down 49th instead of Cambie. I was walking super fast because the sky was already pretty dark. After a while I started to feel something wrong, so I looked at the street sign and it said 49th and Laurel.... =.= Well... that freaked me out. So I started running back towards the skytrain station so I can go down the right path. By the time I got home I was all sweaty and sticky.....

Most of my friends know that I have this direction problem. A very good example of that was sometime in the first week of school in grade eight, when I circled the school two times looking for my locker... until Sharon pointed it out to me. She had a good laugh with that one...

Well on the bright side, I got some running endurance training (=.=") and I know I will never make that mistake again.

Well, we already have two projects, and both in socials. But I'll live. Today wasn't all that exciting, but English was pretty fun. We each wrote and described ourselves anonymously on a piece of paper and then crumble it up into a snowball. Then we got to throw it at other people. After, we picked up the paper closest to us, and stood in the circle. Then the teacher will tell someone to read the description on the sheet that they have, and the teacher will guess who it is that wrote this. It was pretty fun, especially when the OOoooohhhs come when we figure out who it is but the teacher is still lost. Luckily mine didn't get read out yet, but probably we will continue next class until we finish.

Well, we had a power outage today for the entire afternoon until like ten minutes ago. We had to take a shower and go to the bathroom in total darkness == not a fun thing to do. I thought I couldn't write my blog today. We were using candles in the house (my mom almost forgot that we had candles. I reminded her how to make light the old fashioned way)

About ten minutes ago, the telephone beeped and that almost scared the living daylights out of me because my mom was just saying that there will be some scary creature crawling out of the tv (She was trying to tell me ghost stories because the candles made this really eerie glow in the darkness). And then following that, the tv beeped, then the computer beeped, then the printer beeped, the clocks all turned on and to 12:00 and then I was like: YEEEESSSSSSS!!!!! *turns all the lights on* I LOVE YOU ELECTRICITY.

Phew. Finally got through today. Saturdays and Sundays and weekdays don't make that much of a difference anymore. In fact I even think I like school days better. I bet when I start seeing more homework I'll regret saying that...

Tired. going to sleep... tomorrow I've got a Nutcracker costume fitting and stuff for a December performance for about 2 hours, and drawing class for about 2-3 hours. I know it's kind of annoying how I keep on talking about ballet these days, but seriously that's all I can think about, whether I want to or not (believe me I don't).

My muscles are still seriously sore. And now my toes are starting to hurt. Don't I just love ballet -.-
We got homework today for science and french, and now I am desperately trying to finish those along with my theory homework before the weekend. Because of ballet there is very little time I can squeeze in time for these things. If I don't be more organised this year with my time and TRY very hard not to procrastinate, I'm gonna be in a lot of trouble.

First day two

Today was okay, but I think I like day ones better but I have no idea why...
I had math, english, socials, and PE. All the teachers pretty much talked through the whole class with out giving anything for us to do and thats what I like. But obviously it's all gonna change next week.

In math, our teacher gave us a really hard question: what is the probability that two or more people in our class (28 people) will have the same birth date? I still haven't really grasped the concept of that yet... In english, the teacher was really funny, but he said that in order to succeed in his class, you have to speak out, and not be the quiet person in the back who does everything else perfectly. I swear my heart skipped a beat on those words... Socials was okay. In pe, we're starting out with football, which I am really bad at. The good thing is we get to do badminton and gymnastics on the apparatus things this year, but the bad part, is we still have to do square dancing but don't get track and field anymore. sigh

First post of this school year

Wow... back to school already. Well I am kind of glad because I was a little bored during the summer, and now I get to see my friends again! But now I have a super busy schedual. My mom made me change ballet schools because the new one is more professional. But the problem is I have to go to that ballet place five days a week, each for around 3 hours T-T. Sooo I have to be way more organised this year if I wanna make it through with a good grade. Well I just had my first class today, and now my legs, ankles, and the bottom of my feet are very sore. Very sad to think that I still have P
E tomorrow...

It's been like a month since I've been on the Internet (my mom changed the password to make sure I only do school work on here) so I have to get used to blogging again. I almost forgot today...
